The environmental-friendly cars specialist Tesla has applied for $350 million loan to the US Department of Energy's Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing Program in order to aid the Model-s plant of all-electric Sedan in California.
It is already getting some initial help from none other than Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page – both of them are potential millionaires. Although the set up for the plant isn’t ready, it is booking orders from its website. The company says it has around 520 customers in the waiting list. The demand seems to big for a car which will be on-road only after 2011.
The specialty of the all-electric Sedan is that it runs on roads with electric power. This thing is so obvious. Other features are that you can drive it on a high-way along with your family.
